Lu has two specialties. One specialty is acupuncture orthopedics. She is a Diplomate in the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics (DNBAO), which is a CA State-licensed acupuncture specialty in treating pain conditions.
She also specializes in Cosmetic Acupuncture. She uses the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture protocol for face or neck. It's a five-week, ten-session program, with its roots in Chinese Medicine principles. It's the only facelift-type of therapy (that we know of) that improves one's general health.

Lu has a BA in Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University and received an MTOM in Traditional Oriental Medicine, summa cum laude, from Emporer's College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica. She is licensed by the CA State Acupuncture Board. She is a member of CSOMA.
In addition to acupuncture, she uses needle-less auricular and hand therapies, and myofascial release.
